Can We Just Abolish Daylight Savings Already?

The time change is killing me -- when we turn the clocks forward an hour every spring, I feel like I lose and hour of sleep every single day. Wah.  I don't think I am the only one that feels this way.  There are only three of us at the office today, but I think we all look and feel like this:

wah is right. Normally, I'd be completely awake but right now just looking at the screen and thinking in a monotone voice, "Yes. Funny." when normally i'd crack up. It's amazing what an hour of sleep will do to you.

rofl. well, i HATE mornings anyway, but especially during daylight savings. for god's sake, the economy has moved from farming, can't we just get rid of stoopid daylight savings now??? sheesh.

I agree...keep it one way or the other! I can handle jet lag from Europe better than one silly hour.

Not a fan of the whole springing forward thing. It seems like I get adjusted to the whole extra hour in the fall in a night or two, but the ass-backwardness of getting up an hour early hangs on for at least a week or two.

Well, we all complain when it's time to 'Spring Forward' but nobody seems to mind when we 'Fall Back.' Plus , it's been designed to save you electricity money. Money you can use to buy liquor with.

We just will do "spring forward" the last March saturday, but I always feel like you say. ;)

The time jump has me all on some weird internal clock. I was up at 5am this morning, unable to go back to sleep, listening to the wind knock the screen door against the side of the house. I thought, oh, this is one of those poignant moments where either I have some sort of revelation about my life or a killer creeps from beneath the bed and dismembers me by the light that gleams from their demon eyes.
Neither happened.

Bleh. It stuffs up the body clock really well doesn't it?
How many countries do the daylight savings thang I wonder? Over here in Aus we have it....Is it just a western world thing? I'd be interested to find out.
(yes, I'm a nerd :) )
p.s. That picture gave me a chuckle. I feel like that EVERY morning! (not a morning person,me..)

It takes me a month to get back to being normal...maybe that it's just the age,no?? 'cause I don't remember that affected me so much before..

It's amazing how one little hour can mess up your entire life. I shouldn't be blogging at this late hour, but I won't be able to visit anyone otherwise.

BTW, that pic of the ostrich--totally creeped me out. I blame daylight savings and the lack of sleep for my nerves.

Dont throw things - but I havent noticed it in the mornings. I have noticed it when I left the office tonight and it wasnt dark out! Made me happy. So I'm kind of on daylights savings side on this one.

I'm going to sound really dumb saying this, but why is this done?I don't really understand the whole concept. It's only an hour,so why don't they just leave the time as it is.
