Have You Ever Been Ass-Raped by Your Own Insurance Company?

I was in a car accident a while back, and my own insurance company and the body shop that worked on my car are trying to F*CK. ME. OVER. I'll spare you the details, as I know it is tedious to read about car accidents and insurance f*ck overs, but these pics show just about how mad I am feeling.

Have you ever been screwed over by an insurance company? If so, what did you do? Did you hire an attorney? If you have the time, please let me know what happened, what you did, and how it turned out. If you don't want to write it all here, just leave a brief comment here and then feel free to email me at: drollgirlmail@gmail.com.

wow, sorry your having a shitty time with insurance.. just out of curiosity, what insurance company is this? and how bad was this accident? i've been in a few accidents but, never faulted so i haven't had to deal with my own company before and the other parties insurance companies have always jumped on it so they don't get sued.

i love mommie dearest.. NO MORE WIRE HANGERSSSSSS..

Oh no that is not good - wishing you the best of luck. Wish I could give you some advice, but knock on wood I haven't had to deal with the bullies yet!

Never had to deal with a nasty insurance company. Somehow, they always come out ahead. Hmm...wonder why? Cause they manage to screw you in the end! Hope it works out for you.

Ruh roh. I think it depends what they're trying to do with you. My advice would be to escalate it to the highest level possible - just keep asking to talk to their supervisor, and be really friendly. Eventually someone will want to get you off the phone, I bet.

Good luck!

Insurance companies are out there to make money, that's why private health care is so profitable. There is nothing you can do, sucks doesn't it?
Love that pic of Christian Bale. xo

My exhusband worked in insurance claims, so I know a little by osmosis.
What is the insurance company doing? Refusing the claim? Limiting pay out?
Get out your policy, read it carefully, highlight the areas in your coverage that they are not dealing with in good faith (if you want to scare the bejesus out of them, tell them that they are acting in bad faith), call your claims rep, or your agent. Write everything down, every conversation you have on the phone with these people, ask them for the proper spelling of their names, etc. Create a massive paper trail, send them registered letters.
If none of this works, and they still are not honoring the terms of your policy, then yes, sue.
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out, ok?

That sux balls. Luckily I've never had to be in that situation
*touch wood*, but I can only imagine how fucking enfuriated you must feel right now. (the photos convey it well too!)
It angers me that companies profit from the suffering of others, and it angers me even more that if you were rich and famous, and say, caused an accident due to drink driving, you'd probably get out of it scott free. ( Paris Slut Hilton comes to mind...she may not have caused an accident, but so easily COULD have, but that doesn't matter, they're only "commoners" after all...That whole thing made me SICK ) It's so damn corrupt. Aaaaaaaaarrrgh!!!!
Sigh. I sincerely hope there is some way to remedy this, even if only slightly.... hang in there girl.
On a lighter note, those pics are awesome- I LOVED "misery". So evil.

I'm in it with simi...I'm very sorry about your insurance woes. I may or may not be in a similar boat (waiting to see what sort of settlement I get for getting knocked onto my head (and off my bicycle) by a minivan). That said, these pictures made me laff and laff.
