Lisa Anne Auerbach at The Hammer Museum

I sort of wish that I was the chick in this photo.

This work by Lisa Anne Auerbach will be at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles March 8 - May 31, 2009.

Lisa Anne Auerbach, Hand-Knit Bikini, 2002/2008, ultrachrome print, 16-1/2" x 16-1/2"

Lisa Anne Auerbach is a writer, knitter, photographer, and political activist. Auerbach uses knitting to create wry, pointed political messages. Her works in this exhibition include sweaters with hand-knit political jokes and riddles, as well as ‘cover girl’ self-portrait photographs displaying her sense of humor.

I love that shot! I wish more girls would go this route when thinking about a theme for their senior pictures.

This is what I'm thinking for my someday engagement shots. Lots of dead, bullet-riddled things.
