Wow. I just read in the newspaper that there is a new way to notify a partner or ex-partner that they may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease (STD) -- send them an e-card.

For more info on this service and on STDs in general, see inSPOT.org.

I guess it's easier than a phone call. I don't know where you find this stuff but I'm always waiting to see what you'll post next:) That's the idea right?
I hope Hallmark gets in on this action. Think of the pop-up cards.
yikes, how scary! but it's a good message to put out there. can you imagine getting one of those e-card messages?
xox
That's genius and creepy at the same time. :O
I am laughing my fool ass off...I can't even imagine. Makes me love my re-virginized status even more.
Oh good lord..I'm glad I'm in a stable relationship and not banging around on weekends after seeing this. Geez.
Def a lot easier than speaking to the person. Man, its scary to think of the amount of people that don't get tested regularly, especially if they're super active.eek.
You always find some of the most unusual and interesting topics . . .Well, while I think it would be a whole lot more apropriate to inform or warn someone in person or at least with a phone call I would say that maybe making it easy like this would get more people to notify others rather than not.
I usually disagree with electronic notification for big news, but actually, this makes a lot of sense. Considering most people probably otherwise wouldn't say anything...
Hahahaha. The cards themselves are the funniest part.
uuuhhh...I hate it when they steal my lines!!! Should have copyright-ed them! Hope you are having o great weekend darlin' ;)
Oh Gosh... I'm sure I would be scared if I would get one of these!!!
Well, maybe its easier for the one who tells...
I'm glad I'm not waiting for one... LOL
Hope you're having a great sunday, dear.
xoxo
Whoa! Hope one of those don't show up in m inbox anytime soon. But if one does and I need to make THAT phone call myself, I will totally use those ecards. hahaha
Where do you find this stuff?!
LOL, these are funny but if I get one of these in my mail, watch the tears fall and my hand grasping a sharp object.
Gosh I miss commenting on your blog. Not blogging for a few days is so weird and I feel Like I missed shit.
hmmm...wouldn't it be polite to inform a partner prior to sealing the deal? maybe i'm just nice haha
oh i would hate to get one of these cards if i was single @_@
I'm sure glad that I'm not dating!
Exactly how I would handle the situation! That and moving across the country!
O.M.G! i would be livid and mortified if i ever received something like this (but i guess it's better than not knowing at all). yikes!
That would totally go in my spam folder.
Pretty impersonal aren't they. I would hate to receive one of those.
doh! well, i guess there's no "good" way of saying it is there?
Well, my life just got a whole lot easier. HUH WHAT?
What the hell is right my darling. Love it! YOU! :)
I know a few people who have had stds before and none of them told the other people. Who would want to?! THat's gotta be the most mortifying thing to tell someone...except for telling someone u cheated on them or killed their family member-those would be worse. Anywho- Most people THINK they would tell cuz that's the MORAL thing to do, but that bull--I bet there are really very few people who would actually have the nerve to do that.
I think this is great--a bit distasteful with the humor, but they are way better than nothing. I'm all for this!
:)
How 'bout rolling them into holiday greetings?
- "Grandpa steered clear of the clap from the fancy ladies during the war. I wasn't so lucky. Happy Veteran's Day!"
- "Unfortunately, the crotch plague didn't 'passover' me. Wishing you a good Pesach!"
I am absolutely going to hell for laughing at this.
These are a hoot. I love Raina's idea of turning them into holiday greeting cards.
haha, yeah why not ?!
There will be more penises and stuff upp tonight, with more colourful pictures to just love! :)
gosh, ive read these before...i def got a kick outta reading them!
a great way to get your message out there, but wonder how i'd react if my date showed me one of this signs...
oh shit!!.....lol
oh no - hahaha!!!
Hot damn,I'm glad I've never gotten (or had to give) a card like this to anyone.
