Modern and Contemporary Glass at Bonhams

I am a sucker for interesting glass and ceramic pieces. These works (and many, many others) are up for auction at Bonhams on May 19, 2009. Pricey, but fun to look at. Click to enlarge.

And if you ever see similar works at a yard sale, snap them up!

Note: If you have beautiful glassware, ceramics or art that you are interested in selling and you think it is potentially valuable, you can contact an auction house and find out if they will provide you with a free estimate on the value. If you need more info on how to do this, just email me at drollgirlmail@gmail.com and I'll let you know what to do.

With a two year old around I have to wear x-ray glasses to see my glassware through the cardboard boxes.
Rago auction has some awesome glass stuff coming up, might be worth checking out. xo

Those are purdy. I want to put gerber daisies in all of them.

but I break shit too easily. So I get my glassware at Tarjayyyy...I know, don't be upset.

Fascinating! I don't work with glass, but my brother is a master steel forger and he does some incredible work with glass and steel. Next time I'm in his workshop I'll have to look around with a keener eye.

Interesting. The designs from a few decades ago are far more interesting than designs nowadays...don´t you agree? haha.

Ack, that top one makes me feel all warm and serene inside. Covet. Covet. Covet.

You've just been given the Sexy Blogger Award, Drool. If you're into such things, it's at my blog. Giving it away not a moment too soon.
