Happy Friday

Still from Quentin Tarantino's 2007 movie Death Proof

I am feeling restless and bored. I think I need a bit of excitement and adventure.

What are you up to this weekend?

Although it's for not-so-happy reasons, I'm still excited to be flying out to Texas to see my family! (Though the good news is that my Dad is doing better, and hopefully will be released from the hospital today). Prediction: the wildest thing I will do all week is play in the swimming pool with my nephews. I am so lame.

I'd wish I were on some crazy semi-reckless adventure this weekend. For some reason I feel the need to do something crazy before I get married.

Oops, forgot to say have a great weekend (and next week if I don't get a chance to do much blogging next week!)

INSTANT boredom cure..they even come with loads of friends, Thomas The Train, Barney, Lightning McQueen, and food! The food part is great, gold fish, cereal bars, ice cream, Spiderman chews....hmmm what do you think? :)

I'm live-on-location all day Saturday at some classic car show&shine. Then whiskey and I will get acquainted on Saturday night. And I'm going to try painting with water colours on Sunday in the park. Or maybe I'll keep partying with my friend whiskey.

Yeah i really want to see that Woody Allen flick too, and was invited to go with an old friend but will have to be working this weekend.
I would really like to go on a long long drive and get lost in venturing.

I wish I could say something more fun than work and possibly if it is not raining going to the park. Oh, I also rented Waiting for Guffman because my boyfriend has never seen it! What a treat for him:)

Husband's on-call all weekend. That means single mom to 3 kids for me. Multiple kids' birthday parties and then a surprise visit to my dad. I already celebrated father's day with my husband at the end of May since I knew he was working this weekend.

My husband returns home from overseas in about 3 hours and that is EXACTLY how I'm gonna greet him.

Even as a small photo on my blogger dashboard, I knew that was the scene from Deathproof with Zoe Bell. I love that movie, and never get tired of it.
I'll be taking Cute Hubby to see "The Gates of Hell" for father's day. Date night, woooo hoooo!

Okay, prepare to be jealous. This weekend I am doing laundry, cleaning the house, weeding the garden. Can you stand the excitement?

'Death Proof' is a fun movie! And the sequence that photo's from is WAY intense! I thought for sure that chick on the hood was gonna end up as road kill...

If you're so bored, why don't YOU give hood-surfing (or whatever they called it in the flick) a try?
Would certainly qualify as "a bit of excitement and adventure"!

Work, work and more work! Doesn't that sound fun? I think the only thing that just may be a tad better is boring!!

Why thank you for asking J! I'm having a little BBQ bday party for my husband Scott - please, let the weather treat us kindly! Otherwise it will be an indoor BBQ (which isn't as exciting). I guess I should be grateful that I'm well set up for either eventuality...

Taking the camera to alleys around Fairfax/Melrose, then dinner at Animal (been craving it for weeks), and the BH farmers market on Sunday... :)

May I suggest a pastry from Breadbar to lift the spirits... pain au chocolat, perhaps?

hmmm grocery shopping, baking, cleaning, watching The Shining, going bowling, going out for dinner.

Hope you have a good weekend. I love that movie by the way - awesome!

I am the baking queen (singing Abba and replacing dancing w/ baking)... I have to make 40 cupcakes for a charity dinner on Sunday night. I also have plans with my dad for a friendly tennis match and then BBQ for Father's Day. Other than that I have a couple of movies from netflix I want to watch.

Nothing too exciting but I will leave that for you! :)

It's that music of your boyfriend's making you feel like that. At least I think.

I keep thinking I want adventure, but then I always sit on the couch. Eh.

This movie rocks...but do you know the big secret about this movie? ;)

Also, weekend plans were: hike, movie, go see exotic big cats in the middle of effing nowhere. Check, check, and check.

How was your weekend? :)
