amazing!!! love the first of Laura Dern (where is she now??)
Wow,Couldn't recognize Johnny Depp in that portrait! My fave would be that Mcdonald french fries...(I like mine with mayo+ketchup- for your info...hee*)
whoa...he's like really good. i stopped and stared at the johnny depp photo for like a minute, i'm not gonna lie.
Love those. I am obsessed with photography, I want a new camera so bad!
fantastic, amazing lighting in these photos all around
love these photos! i adore neil young...anything with him is awesome!kind of looks like a mug shot!
oh wow!!! as i was scrolling i kept thinking...okay THAT one is my favorite...but the more i scrolled the more favorites i collected...i could never work in an art gallery...i would end up becoming a thief as i am sure i could never afford a one of them...
Absolutely amazing. How does he do it?Speaking of Laura Dern, I recently watched the infinitely crazy shot on digital, 3 hour Lynchfest: Inland Empire. Mostly I watched it for Jeremy Irons, who just rocks the creepy house.
I really love these. I couldn't begin to choose a favorite. I like how he photographs people and objects equally well.
aah, that girl dressed up as Ace is kind of scary!
I think he made Laura Dern and Debbie Harry look old, I'm just saying. Neil young is too cool for words, and any shot of him is o.k. with me.I didn't like L.D.Caprio for the longest time. But then he grew up, and I think he's really tough and smart.Johnny Depp....ahhh, with a spoon baby! Don't want to leave out the "abandoned town" photos, they're priceless.
haunting and beautiful...booked a room last night, I'm a comin'!we are going to go to the getty on friday! hip hip horray!!!
reminds me of the iconic portraits and shots from the depression era - dorothea lang et al
I agree with hanako, she took the words out of my mouth, haunting and beautiful. the butterfly is disturbing to me but i can't help but look at the image a little longer. btw, since i love shoes, i am doing a shoe giveaway! come join the fun!
These are pretty amazing. Even the people shots (regardless whether they're celebrities) show more emotion than you usually see and he's not trying to deliberately make them more beautiful than they are. Love all the non-people shots as well. Haunting and beautiful. Thanks for posting!
Some are way cool...Neil Young looks like he belongs in an asylum..LOL!
very cool. I particularly liked the Neil Young, gush gush blush Johnny Depp, Chrisitna Ricci cause she's so creepy, cute and cool and that Mcdonald's field one..very cool
Those are great!!! I've gotta try out that first hair style. Wonder if my hair will hold?
Ew ew ew! Chyna! Yuk.But Johnny Depp... Yum. :)
Oh I love! Did you notice that all the celebrities he painted still look like that? Seriously, it's like they haven't aged....except maybe Christina Ricci but that was 11 years ago! Crazy.Oh 1. I know you do, but today you must stop by 2. In that interview I did, which I mentioned in yesterday's post, I named you as a *fantasy dinner guest* :)
I like the first shot of Laura Dern. There is a glamour and elegance there and at the same time something eerily haunting and disturbing about it.
GREAT stuff! Love the Johnny Depp one :)
I had to do a double take on the Arnold one - looks like a wax museum figure...
Ohhh I love the Christina Ricci one and JayZ..Jigga WHAT...I think he's HOT.
Thanks for the Dan Winters Show!Laura Dern, Who does your hair!?
These are so striking. And I have the same taste as my sister: Jay Z WHAT WHAT.
I love the gum on the theater seats and I think the photo of Morrissey is amazing.Saw Debbie Harry perform Sunday night... Diane, um, she IS old. (But can still bring it.)Thanks for posting these!
holy moly! these are amazing. I love them all...'Jigga what...Jigga WHO Worldwide Originator, say word to me...' LOL LOL LOL omg. ok. moving on. I'm loving the butterfly, the nasty gum on the seats and Arnold 'get in the chapppa' getting his makeup did :) love it love it love it. you are amazing!

Nice!!....The one with Johnny Depp is my fave
Great Americana pics! Neil Young looks like he needs some serious lovin'...or an upper - LOL!;-)XOXO
I wonder if he'd like to shoot me? Ah ha. Laura Dern looks fab.
love. ly. lovely.
I pretty desperately want to own some of these photographs, particularly the one of the photo booth. But strangely, not so much the one of Chyna.
Absolutely love the photo booth. Man, does that ever bring back memories.
Perfect! I love me some photos. Really, Johnny Depp and Leo in the same post...my eyes, my eyes...two of my BIGGEST pre-teen/teenage crushes ever....
I love this work!!!! Almost a modern day Diane Arbus.I can't believe that pic of Laura Dern is from ten years ago. It's rather harsh. But I love the theatre seats with gum. Will you buy me that one?
Mmmm...interesting work! A few are stand outs for me - Arnie, the cinemas (both inside and out), Johnny (actually anything Johnny's got my vote! - he's my Travis!) - the guy in the car - very American Gothic almost.
wow, some of these look like paintings! my favorite is the photobooth!
Really fantastic montage of pics Droll Girl...loved them except I will admit Neil Young scared me a bit.
amazing photographs. such talent. loove the one of johnny depp
I love how much depth and character these photos evoke. Thanks for sharing and opening my eyes a bit today.
art. pure. lovey. art.you find the best things.
Wow what a great find! The use of color in this photography is out of this world!Beautiful!Cheers!
He's awesome. What talent.
these have a really cool quality - love the tones. the photobooth is my favorite
I love the photographers that you post. This is my favorite, though, thus far. Laura Dern looks so quintessentially David Lynch-like in that photo. Winters captures the weird magnificently in all of these photos.
I really love his portraits especially. So beautiful!
i lke Johnny Depp and mcdonald pictures. love the vintage-ish feel in each of Dan's photographsxoxo, fhen
These pics are really lovely. The chewing gum under the theater seats are hilarious. and yup fhen, the vintage look is lovely.
Debbie Harris' picture. Amazing. Great post, as always!
stunning. though now i do feel slightly... talent-less. hm. will work on that...
These are fantastic compositions.
I love this! i just scrolled thru all the pics like 3 times..
amazing portraits, i especially like the one of christina ricci
These are fabulous. I love that little boy but feel really bad for the toothless lady. I feel her pain!
