Brilliant! But in Paris #4 the little girl should be smoking.

This is so awesome!! He's captured kids at their evily and mischevious best!
I picture the second kid saying DESTROY!!!!
And well, I know spitballs in the hair all too well...when i was new to a private school at the lovely awkward age of 11, the rich popular snob ass girls used to do this to me, what a cruel world..haha. Kids can be such dicks.

Ah, these are so beautiful! The photographer captured childhood moments so perfectly...

Oh Achim, you've managed to capture the impish beauty of little kids.

I hate them and want them at the same time. Great photos.

definitely thought provoking. My fave is class on 1954. dont like to see the sad little girl being tortured by those boys but there's something about it. Thanks for the gallery tour dear. BTW did you have a fab bday?

I always wanted to cut a dolls hair when I was young but didn't cause I knew I would regret it - I guess I was a screwed up kid...thanks for reminding me.

Love them. The first photo looks so familiar.

VEry interesting... i'm off to go scroll thru them again...there is something that you can't quite figure out in these photos...at least to me. my favorite is the dancing school picture...

Fantastic! So real and surreal at the same time. I like the fact that kids are just portrayed as kids but at the same time he already captures their grown-up tendencies. I think most of us know from experience that kids aren't always as cute as they look ;-)

Love it ♥ My children are the ones quietly staring at the pond looking for fish. They would NEVER do spitwads or cut a dolls hair. WoW!!! Oh i feel so much better as a parent that you showed these images. Thanks girly. Happy Monday to you.

LOVE this post! All the great cunningness of children...and the photo of the family eating in Paris, hilarious! In fact, that would be my husband with his head in the plate trying to make it through a 3-hour dinner! Ha!

these are awesome. i like the spitball and the face in the food one. you know how on scrubs he will imagine what he would like to be doing, and then it will flash back to reality. these remind me of those.

oooh, Rage Against the TV #4(or whatever it's called) and the Secret Garden are too rad for words.

Yes, I used the word rad.

wow. there is just so much meaning behind each one of these, so much emotion and thought comes from looking at them. truly amazing. each piece is remarkable. I can't stop looking at them. As a mommy to little ones who are slowly getting closer to this age bracket, the emotion is very nerve wracking and even heartbreaking. Very deep art.

thank you.

I hope you had a great weekend!

I love them all. I have a thing for that one with the kid's face in the cake, aka Paris #04. It says so much. I love when you educate me on cultural matters!

ooo these are awesome - kind of remind me of that post you did a few weeks ago with similar stale-kid photos haha. stale kids probably isnt the right way to put it. but eerie photos of children with this cool muted yet bright colors.

The perfect little blonde boys that are wicked......that's my life. Case in point; I'm reading your blog and my 2 year old is sitting on my kitchen table taking bites out of the nectarines and putting them back in the fruit bowl. Not eating, just biting. And he's wearing rainboots in August. My daughter has our cat in a doll's crib.
I gave Barbie a mohawk when I was a child. Sorry this is long.
