It's been a LONG while since i saw "The breakfast Club", but the little wierd girl in it with the dark hair always reminds me of my teen self :)

jillian-anne said...

oh man. it is probably sad that teen movies are my favourite genre...

I think maybe I was a combination Molly Ringwald's character, Andie, in Pretty in Pink AND Katie Holmes (joey) in Dawsons Creek.

:)

None. :)

I'd like to say I was like the cool cats in Dazed and Confused but was probably a horible mix of Napoleon Dynamite and Sandy before the make over. *shudder*! ...and I have never ever seen the Breakfast Club - now that really is tragic! P.S. Where's Ferris Beuller??

Oooh superbad! Mean girls! Clueless! Bring it on! Lol everything's my favorite. I love Cher from Clueless the most for a personal character :)

I picture my teen self in an all boys boarding school, manipulating the staff and pitting the boys in the lacrosse team against each other for my affections. A new boy comes into school and his heart of gold will bring me down in a power struggle.

Did I tell you my little scenario has an 80's soundtrack to it?

I tried to forget those days...block em out. Any geeky gal with really frizzy hair...that would be me!

Bunny, THE PARIS HOUSE said...

I don't know who I was most like??? I guess depending on my mood.. what ever I felt like being that day. I loved being reminded of all the movies I grew up watching in my teens!!

The Peach Tart said...

I looked like Molly Ringwald but more a bad girl

Alina said...

I wasn't really like any of the characters but I loved the breakfast clubs and 16 candles.

The Cottage Cheese said...

I was probably a combo of about 5 of these characters. I'll let you in on a little secret: I was a cheerleader. Do you hate me now? ;) Would you hate me any less if I told you that one of our dance mixes that we performed to included Butthole Surfers music?

I know I'm not supposed to ask how you're doing, but I want to you that I'm thinking about you girlie. Hugs to you, and a verbal reminder that you kick ass. Because who doesn't want to hear that they kick ass?

i was a mean girl...definitely regina george-esque and i'm not even gonna lie about it.

Hilarious... I loved just looking at the photos. I think I'm a combo of quite a few of those characters (isn't that what the Breakfast Club was all about!?) :)

Aren't you glad HS is over? I think we all are...

haven't seen this movie. looks like a riot, as with the rest of those movies. i love and hate them. too much to do with looking back. i just did today and it still hurt quite a bit.

down and out chic said...

definitely ellen page in juno sans the pregnant part. although i might be giving myself a little too much credit here. i did want to be liv tyler in empire records though.
i do still love clueless. i wonder what that says about me?!

Pyzahn said...

Sadly, I was probably most like Reese Witherspoon in Election. Not quite so perky or perfect, but a great organizer.

jennifer from pittsburgh said...

The freaky Ally Sheedy character in The Breakfast Club :D I still dress like that, btw ;)

Keith said...

I was always more like one of the dorks that Anthony Michael Hall played.

♥Aubrey said...

Luv the pics ♥ I'd have to say Sandra Dee :) I was so proper until my senior year...then watch out boys!!!

Iva said...

hehehe I love the movie Clueless. So cute. I was not like any character :0) I hope you had a really nice long weekend!

Diana said...

Allison Reynolds! I hung out by myself, and did my own thing, even if people thought I was a freak!

Char said...

16 candles....that is probably my entire life hahahaha

Clorivak said...

Can't decide...i was def one of the shy, weird ones that liked AWESOME tunes and crazy clothes. cough cough, very un-sheep like..like most of my school.

I'm going with Ally Sheedy's character in 'The Breakfast Club'...*heh*...

and: LOOK! Tom Cruise's teeth seem correctly aligned in that shot from Risky Business! aha! he was still a youngster then...

Waxy said...

Loved Superbad, but Clueless is classic! and I have a soft spot for Billy Madison even though you didn't include him...and the penguin.

Hanako66 said...

lol this is funny!

I think that I always came off as a total good Sandy from Grease...at least to teachers and friend's parents. But I was really a mix of Claire from TBC, Linda from Fast Times, and Bleeker from Juno...with a touch of Michelle from Dazed:)

sherri said...

I was Ally Sheedy's character from the breakfast club mixed with Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles.

Sandra said...

hahah...this is so funny! :)

box-of-style

Pen Pen said...

I was more Ferris Bueller than anybody...most people liked me-but that's probably cuz I was full of it and subversive.... :) Me and some other friends started this "underground" newspaper that nobody knew WE made and handed it out in costume just outside of campus at stop signs--it pissed ALL the admin off...we knew too much! :)

Simply Mel said...

Definitely the Reese Witherspoon type in the first photo - but I secretly wanted to be Olivia Newton John! :)

Kellie said...

Well, I did a lot of shopping like Cher in Clueless but I wasn't as ditzy. At least I don't think I was... :)

...love Maegan said...

omg I LOVE THIS POST! ...I'm going with Sandy from Grease ...but probably also a bit of a "Mean Girl" ..but a super nice one ;)

Kitten said...

Damn Reese Witherspoon looks so young!

I was an uber-nerd and an overachiever. I guess I was a combination of Sandy from Grease and Tracy Flick.

Felicia|DaLipstickBandit said...

lol
i was most like seth green in can't hardly wait
or
rachel leigh cook in she's all that...

Phoenix said...

I was the boring somewhat quiet somewhat smart girl in the back who floated from social group to social group and was friends with everyone... and not very pretty.

I don't think they make movies about me.

Lynn said...

I was that girl who ditched school with Ferris.

You ROCK, Girl!

Kristin said...

I would like to say that I was like Phoebs. I think the hubs still dreams of her and her bikini. Ah ha. But I was pretty virginal, a la Miss Newton John.

The Seeker said...

So funny!!!
I truly don't know....

Luv

xoxo

Gabbi said...

Damn it, I want a film fest now!! I was a sad cross between Ally's character in Breakfast and Sandra Dee before she sluts out... so sad. :)

Sher said...

I was a goody two shoes nerd ;)

Elizabeth Marie said...

MEAN GIRLS "Thats why her hair is so big..it's full of secrets."

Nah, I wasn't mean. But I have a rep to keep up, yo.

Definitely Cher!! Or maybe I just wish I was like Cher....

at least I wasn't like Tracy Flick, that's all I'm sayin...

Clare said...

Jennifer Jason Leighs character in fast times because my first time was as disappointing as hers, (minus the pregnancy bit)!

Alicia said...

man, i have noooooooooo clue...but how stoked am i that i saw a little fast times at ridgemont high?!

K @ Blog Goggles said...

Wow. What a great question. Probably that Election girl - all I ever did was extracurriculars. Plus, I would've loved to have an affair with a teacher.

Glad you're back!

miriam said...

i was probably most like Brenda in 90210. with the dark long hair and fringe...

glad you're back too!

ana b. said...

I'd like to say I was McLovin but to be frank, my friends would say Pedro. Definitely Pedro. English was my second language for the longest time too.

thereddeer said...

Probably the grumpy ass girl in the Breakfast Club. I was a grumpy ass.

apriliniowa said...

I always love when you post something like this and get to read all of the responses. Who were you, I wonder? I fancied myself the girl in "Pump Up the Volume" more than I should have...

Oh these photos bring back so many memories. Funny things. Great post :)

omg...this post just made me smile!! i hate to say it, but i was so incredibly dorky, i don't remember where i fit in...i think i studied more than i did anything else?! I also definitely had a larger than life superiority complex which included an outright refusal to date guys from my high school...so yeah, definitely Cher from clueless!!! maybe sandy from grease, pre tight jeans and cigs! lolol

Pinky said...

I LOVE like 90% of those movies. The rest I just haven't seen. I so want to go back to highschool, with hindsight of course. I was an idiot back then.

Hey Harriet said...

Fun pics! I'd like to say that I was like any of the characters Molly Ringwald played but I was more like one of the 'extras' that probably didn't get noticed at all! ;D

Conversation Pieces said...

When I first saw this post... I thought urggh I have so never been a teen movie character... and then I saw Heathers. Oh I watched that movie to death when I was a teen... I was sort of like Winona Ryder's character Veronica except without murdering anyone or snogging Christian Slater (unfortunately). God I'm glad I'm a (sort of) grown-up now!

couture fashion said...

I guess it would be a mix of SJP's Janey in Girls Just Want to Have Fun and Reese's Tracey in Election. So glad school is over.
