omg, I have no words, it stunning. The details. The focal points. Amazing. Ahhh and the colors, so beautiful. This is awesome. Thank you for such a fabulous post on a Monday..seriously, you made it a a bit more bearable!! The first picture has such a beautiful stained glass window, and the second one! I know it's titled 'piano' and I'm loving it and the chair with it, BUT omg the ceiling art is remarkable, I wonder if that's gold leaf. ahhh the rocking chairs and painting AND sculptures in "Mercedes Living Room"...ohhh geezz I think I have to go back and stare at this post just a bit more...or all day!

They remind me a lot of here, but with more of a, um, Cuban flair. You can see the former grandeur, but the system has totally failed them. It's a shame to see that architecture crumbling away, but it sure does make for some fantastic photography! It's funny how stuff like this makes for such eye sores in everyday life, but it tells a completely different story when it's caught on camera.

these are beautiful. so rich in detail. I have been to Cuba and looking at these images is inspiring me to rummage through my box of negatives from that trip and scan some of my prints. About the sofa - I think that was a great choice - the leather will age well and the shape is classic - you made a great choice and if in the future u decide to upgrade - you can always put this in your den or sitting room - in the chateau you will eventually purchase!

These are incredible. Cuba! My - what a crumbling beauty she is - I saw a doco on it the other day - it was so strange seeing all the 1940s 1950s cars tooling around - and no modern ones. Thanks so much for posting these - I love them!

Wonderful photos...visceral reaction to the dilapidated interiors. It's a shame that such beautiful architecture is being allowed to crumble. Disheveled grandeur...that's a lot of big ass words for me early in the morning. If I spelled them all right, I get an A+

Gasp! The richness of colour! Yum. The last one intrigues me. I also would very much like to pluck that bed out of the "mercedes bedroom" photo and claim it as my own. Same with the chandelier in "isabellas two chairs". I know they're from Cuba, but for some reason these pics reming me of Morocco..? I'm not sure why, as I don't know jackshit about the place. but as soon as i saw them I thought "Morocco". Hmmmm...
