If

Tee hee.

Those under 30 (or 40?) probably don't remember Telly Savalas - aka Kojak, but I sure do.

Have you ever been serenaded by a man or woman? Eke. Not sure about your experience in this department, but I'd say it is A-W-K-W-A-R-D at best. Shudder.

Telllly!!!
I have always thought being serenaded/serenading someone is the oddest thing. Especially by Savalas.

I have!! He played the guitar and sang to me! HA HA HA! I kept having to pinch myself so I wouldn't laugh hysterically! Awkward is right! I always loved Kojak!

I couldn't see the picture, video? It was blank. But I do know who Telly Savalis is. My Aunt had a huge crush on him, me being the shallow teen I was thought "EW" LOL! I have a fantasy of Glen Hansard serenading me. But I can see how it would feel uncomfortable.

I don't even like having Happy Birthday sung to me. My husband is bald and swarthy, so I am partial to that type of guy.

teeeheeee!!! ....I'm guessing the birthday song doesn't count as being serenaded...so in that case I never have been. Making me a very happy camper to avoid that awkwardness for sure!!!

i've heard of him but only recently. I remember seeing him on dateline or something, all young and fit. He was hunky.

I've been serenaded once by the ex. It was karoake style so it wasn't too awkward.

Well, I don't know if this counts, but I serenade Caty ;) I can't sing worth a damn so I warble 'You Are So Beautiful' until she pees herself a little and then i shut up :D

I lie how he lights a cigarette in the beginning. Yeah, that's good for singing! And I remember him, unfortunately...

Haha, that was awesome. I barely remember Kojak (yes I'm at one of those cutoffs). But hey my husband is a shaved head man so there's something smooth and sexy about those guys!

LOL! I love that he took his time lighting the cigarette before he began! I definitely don't enjoy being serenaded...it is indeed AwKWARD!

Is it just me or does the lady have a giant face?

I cried like a baby when the hubs did it. But I had a quartet (19 year olds who were friends) sing to me on my 18th bday and I was like, oh gosh get me outta here.

I love that I'm in my 30s and still say, "and I was like"....
NOT

Happy *humph* day, Drollycakes!

Kojak!!! I remember him!

I had a boyfriend in high school that wrote a song for me. It was all grungy in the style of Nirvana. NOT. GOOD.

HA! I actually met him when I was very young and touring universal studios in LA - it was when he was filming Kojak. My mom adored him for some weird reason. "who loves ya baby."

And yes, my friend was starting a business to 'hire a serenade' so I let him "surprise" me at the mall. LOL it was funny - him in a tux, singing with his guitar and handing me a rose.

I have been serenaded by a guy at my job before when I was in high school and it was beyond creepy. Is there such a song called "Heather Honey" because he kept trying to persuade me that there was. Horribly, horribly awkward. And all of my girlfriends working with me? They all laughed about it. So much for the sisterhood of the pants or just girl power in general.

damn...how cheesy!!!hahaha...i would hate to be serenaded. i would prob burst out laughing, pee myself and ruin the whole moment.

Who loves ya, baby? I'm def. old enough to remember him.

Some weird guy serenaded me at a karaoke bar. He sang "Cat's In The Cradle". Told you he was weird.
