Legends of La Cienega: Designers Salute Hollywood

As seen in Elle Decor magazine...

Los Angeles became even more glamorous last week when nearly 40 interior designers and set decorators took over the windows of the sensationally chic La Cienega Design Quarter. At dozens of trendsetting showrooms—from Hollyhock to Baker, Downtown to Hollywood at Home—crowd-pleasing vignettes interpreted classic movies and television programs and kept visitors entranced morning, noon, and night. Sponsored by ELLE DECOR, the annual event, known as Legends of La Cienega, brought out the design world's best and brightest.

GAH!!! WHAT A FABULOUS CONCEPT!!!!  These are my favorites. LOVE THEM!!!

Side Note: If I had been part of this contest, I'm pretty sure I would have done a room inspired by The Silence of the Lambs.  Oooooh.  Or the Umbrellas of Cherbourg.  Or The Aviator.  Or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  Or or or.  OH GOD.  So many great options!

Gee, the possibilities are endless! I always liked hotel room flair (with attentive staff), so anything from Some Like It Hot to Gossip Girl will do it for me.

Awesome! I would have gone with Veronica Mars. High school private eye all the way!! :) I can just see the cleverly placed binoculars, hints of camouflage, and prom paraphernalia . . .

Now, I know Mercury has gone retro-grade, and totally kicked me down a dark alley...'cause I this totally passed me by.

I was locked in my quiet little death cave, sick for weeks, and have now followed the family out of town.

Hopefully it will still be around, until I can find my way back home.

Cheers!..to showrooms actually showing off some invented personality.
