When I see things like this, I think all the compliments I ever received as an "artist" are b.s. *tear*

I almost feel like I have to insist on seeing these in person because I can't believe that. Wow, she is beyond talented holy crap.

'Ah, nice photos', I thought, until I read what you said. I was so impressed I showed them to 'the man' and all he said was 'Nice. Why doesn't she just take photos?'... Culture bastard! (I'm secretly hoping he is reading all my abusive comments on your blog; it's the ONLY blog he has shown any interest up to now - mine included :(

How are those drawings?!

Haute World said...

No way! I'd love to see these in person. Especially considering she used color pencil, which I guess would explain the detail, but to me wouldn't necessarily make any drawing more realistic. I always thought the surrealists were pretty good at lifelike drawings/paintings, but I never mistook any of their work for actual photographs!

Get.Out.Of.Town! Really? Wow, those are amazing drawings! Thanks for sharing such cool stuff with us! - G

Shush up! I don't believe it. No way are these drawings. AMAZING!

rach said...

I CANNOT believe those are drawings. I have pictures that aren't as defined as those drawings. James and I were sitting here faces pressed against the computer trying to see if we could tell at all if it was a drawing! insane!!

( BTW can you tell im FINALLY catching up on comments?haha)

The first time I looked at this post I liked the photos, but wasn't wowed by them.

The second time I read where you said they're drawings and nearly peed my pants - holy crap, how does one even begin to draw these? Amazing.

Marsi @ The Cottage Cheese said...

Wow, I wasn't paying attention to the captions, and didn't even catch that these are drawings at first. Absolutely amazing! And I love that they are views through rain-covered windshields (I'm fascinated by viewing the world through a car window). I'm absolutely floored by this post.
