I am forever on the prowl for new jewelry (affordable jewelry -- sadly I am not a rich girl). A few recent acquisitions sent me scrambling for more jewelry storage options, as I must have over a
As far as jewelry is concerned, vintage costume jewelry is my favorite. I have many beautiful pieces from grandmothers that I will cherish forever. And I am not so fond of thrift store shopping, except when it comes to sniffing about for vintage jewelry [patience is not my forte, and it is much easier to scour the jewelry case in a thrift store for choice items, rather than picking through racks and racks of stinky clothing that might or might not fit].
I am trying to think where I got all of the rings above, and these are some of the sources if you are interested:

I like big bold rings like that too!
Those are cute little boxes and I like the rings too! Now I recommend taking those rings and boxes and hiding them !!! :(
Still bitter :D
Love that box...so cool.
I should have been a guy. I don't care about jewelry. At all.
But. I love that box!! I wonder if my carpenter husband could make that... would make a great gift no???
I LOVE YOUR JEWELRY BOX!!!!
and your collection is pretty darn impressive. vintage costume jewelry is my favorite too!
and that you've provided me with all the resources (aka links), i will be online jewelry shopping all day today. yeehaw!
happy freaking monday!
that box is PERFECT for rings!!!! I love it. so fab ...and love your photos too. {and your rings ...but I've seen them in person so maybe I'm biased} lol.
Love this jewelry box. I keep my nice stuff stashed away in a safe in individual boxes (there's not all that much of it, unfortunately), but I keep my costume stuff haphazardly piled up in a make up tray. It doesn't look too good. Haha.
I love that box! But I love your actual rings more. I'd love to know where you got these as I'm on the lookout for some like that!
Oooh, I love all those rings! And what a great way to store jewelry.. I'm horrible at storing mine (I just stuff it in drawers and my necklaces always get tangled). I love jewelry as well, but I blame that on my mom who worked at a jewelry store. Hope you had a great weekend!
um, seriously. that box is amazing. (never thought i'd write that...) I want one!!
You have beautiful pieces. That's the one area of my wardrobe that never seems to really develop.
I grew up wearing diamond studs of diamond hoops and it's hard not to reach for those every time I get dressed so I never buy much costume jewelry.

I'm a sucker for bold jewelry too, but i never actually buy myself anything expensive. Mainly because i'm a nightmare and lose just about everything, especially if i'm a tipsy...i actually lost my sister in law once, you don't even wanna know...
amazing jewelry box. i need one for my teenie tiny collection. last proper jewelry box i had was when i was little - the ones with the little ballerina inside.
I never wear jewelry, outside of, like, my wedding rings and a pair of studs in my ears. My mom is really into jewelry, as was her mother ... it makes me sad that I've broken the tradition, but jewelry just intimidates me.
te jewelry box is really cool...i need one! i havent gotten a new one since i was a little kid. time for an upgrade LOL
Holy cow lady. Your finger candy collection is totally lust worthy!
Love your baubles! You must have very happy fingers. Thanks for the heads up with the giveaway too.
Great post!
I'm a jewelry freak, so one click in this post and I'm down the rabbit hole. :-)
Ohaa, we are on the same wavelength today. What a great jewelry box... Bit too big for my one pair - but your collection is a.m.a.z.i.n.g.
Nice collection babe! I've got a few, but I don't wear them often because I don't want to draw attention to the skin on my hands.
Necklaces? Now there's something I've got a lot of. I wear them two or three at a time.
The box is clever.
That is such a cute little storage box. It is perfect for rings!
This box is awesome and so affordable!! Totally just added it to my Christmas wishlist!
You've got some beautiful stuff! I'd love a huge jewelry box, I can never find some of my stuff, it's always hidden.
Love the Box! It looks so cool with the rings...
me too, well... not so much vintage but in total especially weird funny ones. i like to buy during my travel.
My goal is to have enough jewelry to warrant a display just like the department stores. Glass cases and bright lighting.
Love the simple and elegant display. I'm definitely still building up my jewelry collection!
Nifty little jewelry box ya got there...
i love that box, all.. so cute.
Well that is a most cleverly designed box! I have a thing for necklaces and earrings. I have a ton of rings and use to wear them a lot but because of my profession, what is the point? I'd have to be constantly taking them on and off.

very cool boxes! i love the simplicity!!!
i wish i was more into jewelery. i am such a plain jane sometimes but am always so envious of ladies that accessorize well with jewels. i do love the look of vintage costume jewelery too. i would love to get a big beautiful pendant necklace to wear. oh god, this is like totally making me want some. i gotta wait until i have extra cash. i'm broker than bananas. :/
You have a BEAUT of a collection, you should be proud.
What a great design for a jewelry box. Very nice! I love looking at vintage jewelry in thrift shops, although sometimes it makes me sad thinking about how it ended up there...did someone just load it all up and dump it at the thrift shop after the owner passed away, was it pawned in an act of financial distress? If the pieces could talk, I am sure they would have so many stories to tell. - G
love that jar/jug next to the boxes. what a great collection of vintage costume jewelry. i do like them, just that i'm so terrible with accessorising. i like my thrift clothes but i don't really enjoy the digging, believe me. i can only last a while.
This is genius! I have a ton of boxes that began as potential boxes to house necklaces and baubles but alas, they failed! This is so cool.
