LA Sunset

We have had some crazy hot and humid weather here in Los Angeles over the past week or so. Kind of miserable weather, but it sure has made for some lovely sunsets!

Photos were taken with my rad new-ish iphone (I am so in love/obsessed with my iphone!  One of the best inventions ever!). All pictures were shot in my neighborhood and/or backyard within 10 minutes.  It was incredible to see the sky change so quickly.  Earlier in the evening there was a double rainbow that I tried to photograph, but it was not so easy to take great [or even decent!] shots while driving.  Dang it!  Oh well.  And I know these aren't the best sunset shots in the world, but I love the colors. The colors  in these photos were not altered, not even a bit!

Boy, I am babbling!  Enough!

Hope you have a fab weekend!!!!

Totally awesome! I agree with your comment at my place yesterday - I'm going seeing the sun go down each night. Being home from work in time to watch the sun set over the city is one of these best parts of Summer. I'm super-duper impressed with the photo quality of your iPhone. - G

They are lovely, but my son ruined such auburn and pinkish sunsets with feeling the need to share the new-found info from his science class that such sunsets are due to pollution and refraction of light.

Sure, he can remember stuff like that, but how about more important stuff, like remembering to put the toilet seat down? Now that should be a requirement in every public school.

Sigh. Hot and humid there too? Really? I'd still rather be in Los Angeles than Savannah. It's getting cold here. I don't like cold. :/

And those were pretty good pictures actually. :)
