B&W Christmas

Yesterday I knew I needed to start wrapping gifts, but I didn't have the energy to go out and try to  find new wrapping paper [note: I am RIDICULOUSLY picky and it takes me a LONG TIME to pick out stuff like wrapping paper and cards -- and everything else!!!  It is annoying being a picky fuck, but whaddya gonna do.]. I decided I would make do with what I had handy, which was this b&w paper from Ikea. These gifts have to travel far, so I can add bows or ribbons later. OR NOT. LOL! Anywhoo, I like the idea of this paper, as it can work for almost any gift or season -- just switch up the bow/ribbon to reflect the occasion. YAY.

Sorry for the bleary shots -- it was late at night and I was so tired and weak (I am so dramatic and pathetic!!!) and I couldn't be bothered to take 400 shots and tidy everything up.  Such a slacker.

Like many families this year, mine imposed a strict limit on gifts, so I opted for weird/quirky/inexpensive/unique gifts that you can see above.  Those types of gifts are usually my favorites (well, not really -- I love cash and gift cards so that I can pick out what I want -- LOL).

I guess it is countdown to Christmas time.  ARGH.  I can't even believe it is that time of year.  And the word "countdown" just triggered  this retarded song in my mind. ARGH!

I am the same way about picking out stuff like that!!! Even down to the actual gift part. It MUST be unique and special otherwise I see no point in giving a gift. I was disappointed with the gift wrap I picked this year, but OH WELL! Have a great Xmas!

CUTE! I wrapped in straight up black paper this year and used pretty ribbon. Can't deal with the Santas and reindeers and angels on wrapping paper. Hope you get some good stuff! Merry Christmas!

I love the pigs too - so cute!

Agree with you on black and white paper, is a great all occasion wrap to keep on hand and you can give it a different look depending on how you accessorize it.

I am not the least bit picky about wrapping paper - anything that is handy is fair game. It isn't always pretty, but at least it is usually entertaining and different - nobody else had a Kate Moss the Burberry Reindeer bag (scented, or course) at our office exchange.

Final Countdown!! Hahaha! Seriously, I love those adorable piggies and awesome b&w wrapping (I'm disgustingly picky about my wrapping paper too). Hope your holidays are wonderful, full of good times, good food and time to *relax* with loved ones!

I love those presents- i so want one of those piggies and i love the B&W wrapping paper. it looks so clean and classy- something that you would find in an upscale boutique- and its from IKEA so you know it was a great deal! I get so tired of all of the holiday wrap with snowmen and uggo santas on it- i am totally going to steal your idea for next christmas!

I love your wrapping paper idea. I'm going to pinch it for next year. Maybe with red ribbon.

Unfortunately Final Countdown is blocked in "your country".

And merry Christmas to you Jane. :)

I'd lose my mind shopping with you. I'm not the least bit picky about that shit.

But LOVE that black and white paper. LOVE.

And the piggies.

Happy Holiday to you and yours Drollbabe.

No color equals easy. Smartie.
Love the piggies.
The only thing I really wanted for Christmas was a large can of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, because I cook a lot. My oldest daughter thinks that's weird.
Merry Christmas J.
