I LOVE THIS DUCK!  So cute!   And it reminds me of a recent question about hygiene which I will pose to you:

Do you deliberately wash your feet when you shower?  You know, soap them up and scrub-a-dub-dub on them?  Or do you figure the downward trickle of water, suds, and shampoo from the rest of your shower is good enough and that you don't really need to to make a special effort to clean z feet?

I love that ducky! As far as the feet thing... I dont like that if I soap them up I slip and slide around until the soap finally washes off... I do use a pumice stone everytime.

love the photos btw. to answer the question i actually deliberatly wash and sud my feet, i pay extra attention to my feet as my feet somewhat resemble horse hooves, and i'm always barefoot. So yeah they're pretty digusting...

Having a sad day. Very much needed that duckie.

Yes. Scrub my tootsies with a loofah. Feels awesome.

haha! i've never thought that the downward trickle would wash my feet. it never occurred to me really. i've always washed them really well, including between the toesies. that's so funny!

I LOVE the huge duck!! What must have been great was the people going to work one day not seeing it then when they leave being like WTF?? Why is there a huge duck there! They might have thought they flipped! hehe. =P

I wash my feet separately! =)

Am I the only one? I figure the soap and shampoo and water that flows down does the trick.

THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS QUESTION! I am not the only one whew.

I always wash my feet in the shower, sometimes even just my feet before bed. My man NEVER washes his feet (intentionally). We had a big debate over this.

Cute with slightly nightmarish touch... Trickle is good enough for me, but then, my feet don't smell - only of roses. Ha!

I love this ducky. ...you know my answer, I wash em ...but with scrubby gloves, so it's more about the exfoliating. I'm not goin' in and out of every nook & cranny, if you know what I mean.

I ALWAYS scrub my feet thoroughly. But I'm a dancer and our feet get nasty.

That duck IS SO CUTE !!!!!!!
I have to say that SOMETIMES I do, while I am in the shower waiting for my condition to work. That is only 20% of the time, meaning that no.
It's not like I walk in fields of crap you know !??
My husband thinks it bad hygiene.
Welll, DO YOU wash em feet ?

Isabel said...

only when its summer and ive been wearing sandals. usually my feet are super gross and i actually have to wash them before walking in the house. maybe i should stop wearing flipflops :S

that duck is awesome, only in japan is there cute giant ducks floating around. as for the feet - i'm either in a rush, lazy or tired... thats a fast shower. but other days i pumice my entire body (well not really you get the drift) its all about moderation.

This makes me think of the giant duckie-mobile that Danny Devito drove in Batman Returns. Less creepy, though.

I most definitely wash up my feet on purpose!

I always wash my tootsies. It's the last thing I do!

What if I got into an accident and the paramedic was a foot fetishist? I want my feet clean so he will attend to me 1st. Wash and scrub.

Char said...

hmmmm, funny - i never have thought about it but i guess i just let standing in the sudsy water do its job. but then i grease them up with socks when i go to bed...so i think its okay.

Farah said...

hmmm well it depends, sometimes i really get to my feet with loofah and all sometimes I just soap it up and wash..ok, now that felt like tmi! LOL

Love the duck- simultaneously cute and creepy.
And I really love random curious questions like this, especially if I want to know the answer too!
And Dang! it looks like I'm in the minority with the foot thing! I don't deliberately soap up, but I do use a pumice stone every time because I walk around barefoot all day.

if my feet got dirty from barefoot walking/ sandals in a sandstorm type thing, then i'll wash them seperately. but i never wash my feet with the same washcloth/ shower poof that i use while taking a shower. i listed to this talk by some hygenist who said you should ALWAYS use seperate wash tools for your feet and the rest of your body. it kind of stuck in my head and now i have a phobia about it. but i'm far too lazy most mornings, to wash them seperately. i try and make sure my tub is really sudsy, soapy and move them around there... i wash the tops though. does this paragraph i'm typing even make sense now?

LOVE those photos! I sometimes wash my feet. Usually not. They don't smell. I just checked.

Love the duckie! Too cute.
I tend to wash the tops of my feet, really just the toenails , very occasionally the heels in the winter. I figure the rest of the soap will trickle down to my toes and I have no balance whatsoever so I am always afraid my feet will be slippery and then I'll try to balance and then I'll fall and break a bone and get discovered in the shower naked and broken and it'll be so embarrassing. In the summer if I am wearing sandals I often wash my feet as soon as I get home because I am afraid they are stinky. So i guess sometimes I'm clean and sometimes I'm not...

ticklishfromadistance said...

Um....sometimes. I usually feel they are clean from the bath or tub, but sometimes I look at them in the shower and think...ok....let's go. Then I end up almost busting my ass on he left foot, so the right has never received the proper care.

That duck made me squeal.

Elle Sees said...

Iiiiii wanna hop off the duck's head, onto his back & into the ocean. I'm just saying...
And I once dated someone w.mc stank stank feets, so that made me paranoid & I might have the cleanest feet around. In the South at least. And that is saying A LOT.

Kitty Stampede said...

bahahahahaha...you are so hilarious.

and ewwwwww....feet. i'm one of those half & halfers. I don't go nuts on the suckers like i probably should tho, lol. I squeeze a little soap on there from the loofah and do a quick scrubarooni, done in a flash. luckily my feet don't get stinky really so i don't have rub stench off...ahahaha..

Hey there J., Whenever artists do something huge and silly like this, it's like a kick in the pants to wake up and be happy. Thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry that you lost your little furry friend, and that it took me so long to tell you so. I haven't done much posting/commenting lately, so forgive me?

Want the duck!!! Unfortunately I don't have a bath big enough for him.

PS EVERYONE thinks that their feet don't stink. Dream on, baby!!

OMG! That duck sooooooooo cute!

Like the duck. Sometimes I deliberately wash my feet, but mostly subscribe to the trickle down soap theory.

How can that cute giant duck not bring a smile to your face. The rivers where I live are so brown and nasty if they put this guy in the water he would end up all brown and nasty and it would look like the nasty river had finally spawned a toxic avenger.

I usually take baths, but know I nowhere near coordinated to scrub one foot while trying to remain precariously perched on the other - it would end up resulting in an ER moment.

this duck is fantastic. i'm worried i have a nightmare about it tonight...killer ducky takes over my city.
anyway, yes, i try to scrub my feet but overall, i don't think i give them the attention they deserve.

i want that duck! although i don't know where id keep it, i don't think it would fit in my bath..

ah! one of the cutest things ever!

I scrub and wash my feet. i like to take off those nasty dead skin cells and just like the rest of the body, a good rinse isn't enough!
