Mi Alma

I stumbled into the coolest shop yesterday called Mi Alma. It was all I could do not to squeal aloud as I walked around looking at all of their treasures. GAH! Just incredible. Sorry for the onslaught of photos, but just wanted to give you an idea of what they have.

If you are in the LA area and you are interested in custom lamp shades, antiques, garden goodies and unique gift items (and pretty much the opposite of what you would find at Crate and Barrel, Design Within Reach, Pottery Barn, and West Elm), I would encourage you to stop by Mi Alma. It is just incredible! GAH! I want it all!

yes! i love that place. i live in echo park and my partner is an interior designer, so we've made the rounds to all the used/antique shops in the area. the old silverlake salvage yard used to be right there too, and had similar sorts of treasures. places like that are so inspiring! Maegan said...

Wow. What a gorgeous store! So much personality (you're right, it's the opposite of Pottery Barn) and everything looked so quirky and fresh and unusual! I love it - next time I'm in that neighborhood I will stop by!

Made it!... This looks amazing, the kind of place you want to move in. My favourite café in Sydney was a film prop lender and all this stuff was standing around in a very wild garden and in between there were chairs and tables (and a shed with more chairs and tables). They served the BEST food and café and naturally, as most good things, had to close down...
BUT maybe this place wants to do a café??? I so want to sit on the chair with the arms!
