these are SO awesome!!! i'm a huge fan of the skateboarding culture. my stepmom and i would even ride skateboards through our house when i was in highschool as a way to get from one room to another. i had a very unconventional family growing up. ;)

Great pictures - I get the impression that the skating culture back in the 70s was a lot more real and carefree than it is these days (not to mention they had better hair). Or mabye that's just me being bitter because the pavement outside my apartment seems to attract way too many poser skateboarders who look like they should be in an Avril Lavigne music video.
