Dirt Bike Mania

I was hanging out with my MAN FRIEND (or whatever I am supposed to call him) this weekend. We went out to dinner and spotted a monster truck in the parking lot. I snickered and said something like, "Ten bucks says it will be easy to spot the driver of this truck once we are inside." We both laughed and my friend said, "I.E. people are usually pretty easy to pick out in a crowd." I said, "What are I.E. people?" He snorted and said, "Inland Empire folks. There is another name for them...DIRT PEOPLE."

Full disclosure:  I have ridden a dirt bike.  And a quad.  And it was fun.  :]

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I totally remember when I lived there all the L.A. people razzing on the "dirt people!" Love the new header photo, HAHA! SPACE CATS!!

Oooh! I LOVE Motocross and such. It's definitely fun, but I'm not sure I could be super obsessed with it like the dirt people, but it's definitely awesome. I'd go every day, just to feel the wind in my hair. lol Not so big on the dirt.... That's just kinda gross.

Much Love,

Heeheehee . . . Cali-rednecks? Love it! Reminds me of my roots ;)

I need a new manfriend update. Pronto please.

Hahaah awesome. I have attempted riding a dirt bike. I should have known it would end in failure as I can barely ride a bike without a motor.

never ridden a dirt bike...nor a quad...and i'm SO grateful that i haven't. i would NEVER want to be known as "dirt people."

oh and your man friend is funny. you should keep him around.

How fantastic that you and your man friend can snicker together! He sounds great! I think the Dirt People would scare me. Too Mad Max for me.

Look soooo fun. I gone off-roading in a jeep years ago and it was fun. It was esp. fun when we got stuck in the middle of the river and had to be towed out.

i rode on an atv during my recent korea trip and it was fun! but it's way tame, with the dirt not nearly as wet (i'm icky about that, actually). the dirt was mostly from having to wear those suits that goodnessknowshowmanyothers have worn before us.

these people are wild.i am always amazed when i see a completely dirt coated vehicle!! there are tons on the east coast of canada that like to go "off roading" than they drive down the busiest of streets showing off their dirty ass's sooo weird..hahaha. haha..whatever floats their boat.

p.s.- good to hear you're still having some fun with the man-friend. sorry for being a stranger. i am very off in my own little world lately. but it's all cool. :)

Looooving the ones from Nick Wolf. Dig those 70s chicks in bellbottoms! I call "I.E. people" 909ers because before the 909/951 area codes for the Inland Empire, it was a 909 area code for that vast land of trashy, dirt and Monster energy drink stickered up/"sponsored" monster truck loving people. They started creeping into Orange County a few years back, so Fullerton is like a mini-IE now. Miss going to Hero's, but I don't miss being around the trashy "bros" and "hos", hahaha!

"Manfriend" sounds like a great dude! Let's hear more stories of him!!! :-D
