My Mom boycotted her show and said it was because Dinah had a black baby and had not cheated on her husband but found out she had a black ancestor and to avoid the possible scandal (which back then it would have been) put the baby up for adoption, although this could be an urban legend, my Mom believed it and thought is was horrible. Then again, it could be true...it has only come out recently that Loretta Young had an illegitimate child with Clark Gable (my Mom was an old music/movie buff)
