My thoughts:
Manfriend can't wait to see this movie. He really wants me to join him. I said I'd go see another movie while he watches this one. Or I could go out and do something fun and entertaining while he planted his ass in the theater and watched it. Or I'd sit next to him in the theater and play with my iphone while the movie droned on and on. Sound harsh? Maybe. But I can't stand sitting in a theater for 2+ hours watching something I have ZERO interest in. I liked the first two movies way back when (er, THIRTY YEARS AGO), but I have moved on. Clearly a lot of people haven't! Yeesh.
P.S. I also can't stand 3-D movies. I can't. I just can't.

My 5yr old is all about the Original 3 movies. He hasn't seen the more modern 3. And won't until I get then on DVD because I too hate 3D.
The original trilogy I'd totally be game for (not in 3D though.) But Phantom Menace? Seriously? Ewan McGregor with a horrible haircut and a small kid who can't act his way out of a paper bag for the lead? And Natalie Portman being... Natalie Portman? Thanks but no thanks.
If you accompany him to the theater and play on your iPhone for two hours though... you'll risk the wrath of all the other nerds. Better to just sit this one out or find another movie to watch while he "enjoys" this one.
Ugh.
I feel you, sister. Not a 3-D fan and couple that with this movie and you can forget it. Sometimes a girl's just gotta put her foot down. You know what I'm sayin'.

I thought the 'new' Star Wars is just a 3-D version of an old one... But then, I didn't like the 3 new ones anyway. So nope, not for me.

I REFUSE to pay $2.50 on top of $9 to see a movie that I've already seen because they re-released it in fucking 3D!!! So stupid!
I love Star Wars and if they re-released the real one from back in the 70s I would go watch it BUT NOT IN FUCKING 3D. You can't tell me those glasses cost more than ten cents to make and they expect you to return the bloody things after you paid for them! I hate scams

I say NO WAY JOSE. I barely like sitting still for 2 hours for a movie I'm interested in, much less this. Uh-uh. I've never seen any Star Wars movie and I don't have any plans to change that. :)
boy movies...i lose interest almost immediately....would never consider going to a theater to see one.....painful....
Amen. The overexposure is making me hate the movies that I once upon a time kinda liked.
If I can sit through Jack and Jill with my husband then you can absolutely sit through hot Annakin. I'm serious. Adam Sandler as a woman was too much.

I may be some kind of LORT freak, but I have never EVER got into Star Wars. You couldn't pay me enough money to go see it in 3-d

I hear ya woman. not a fan myself. i'm tired of hearing about it. and 3d movies are so hard to get into.
but i like sci-fi movies!
Doesn't he have friends to go with? My husband recently discovered Star Trek: The Next Generation on Netflix. Every.Single.episode.
We have two televisions.
But he feels that way about America's Next Top Model, Gilmore Girls, Antiques Roadshow, Project Runway, and Cash in the attic.
Don't judge me...those shows are awesome.
