Do you ever find beauty and desire for things that you have ABSOLUTELY NO USE FOR? Gah. I do it all the time. These amazing carousel horses (and a carousel lion) are coming up at auction soon. I want them.
Did I mention I that I live in a one-bedroom duplex? That I don't have kids? And that I have no place to put them? And that I don't have the funds to buy them? And that I want them nonetheless.

Oh, it's a crazy idea, but I'd totally go for it! I'm all about having unique items in my house that make people talk. lol (My latest art obsession is a three piece set of simple text saying "we've had sex in this room", "This room, also" and "Yup, this one too" I think I'm just one of those people who loves to cause a stir... oh wait. I know that for a fact. What better to cause a stir than to implement a carousel horse in my bedroom? ;) 'Tis a thing of beauty.

I have such a weakness for carousels. When I go to Disneyland this month I just want to ride on them the whole time.
They are spectacular.
You could take pictures of your naked self with them.
Now, seriously, my house is totally full of thing i don't need for am fond of.

These horses are the kind of things that young, hip millionaries with huge loft apartments entirely made of brick, steel beams, and big counterpane windows buy and deposit around their open plan living room as if to say - very casually - why yes, that is an antique carousel horse, and doesn't it look marvellous in my double-height living space?

I especially love the lion with the figure strapped to it. Is that a baby? A shrunken sacrificial granny? They're awesome!
sure glad you don't "need" them!...my friend just moved her aging, mother into a rest home and is dealing with a lifetime of collections....and yes she has carousel horses!....and yes, she is overwhelmed by all that stuff....but i do like the idea of pole dancing with them...i'll pass that on....
They are bii-u-tiful - and funny. I want the whole carroussel! Who cares about space...

ADORE! I would totally put one or 10 in my place...if i had the room. i am in a 2 bedroom duplex with like no storage. it would probably be a bit much. but yes, they are BEAUTS!
my mom wants one too! oh, and a giant fake sheep. She's nuts. Totally impractical but hello! So pretty!
