Artist Svetlana Petrova doesn't have to pay models to pose for her, instead she uses her ginger tabby Zarathustra. She recreates some of the world's finest paintings by Botticelli, Dali, or Monet, featuring her fine feline as willing subject.

New reader. Love this blog. These are fantastic! Although I love Dali so I'm kind of partial to that one.
love it. Nothing funnier than a fat cat being all serious.
fat cat zarathustra is pretty rubenesque. no wonder petrova uses her as her muse! brilliantly hysterical!
These just made my boring night at work better.
Totally fits you. :) Love it!
Much Love,
Trissta
Better than the original.
genius artist.
Haha. Awesome!
It would look great with my son's,"dogs playing poker" poster....that we have to always have up somewhere....
Aaaahhh! Cats beautify ANYTHING, even the Mona Lisa :)
OMG...so friggin funny. Checked out the other paintings. Awesomeness to the maxxxxxx!!!
My mom showed me these a few days ago and I think I laughed so hard I cried at some of them. That cat looks so disgruntled in some of the pictures, you just have to laugh!
ACK! these are the best. so funny. what a cat. finally one of our lazy asses gets around to posting this bit of genius. :P
Love the fat cats, always. Had to go back and stare at that hot puffy eyed man again, not gonna lie...
How very cute !
I'm sure you are familiar with the Colombian artist Botero. I just love all his FAT renditions. this post reminded me of it. I love how in his pieces everything is fat even the furniture etc!
I like the Mona Lisa one most because it actually looks like the cat has been painted into the picture. But they all are great. Thanks
