Thoughts on TV hosts? Do you have a favorite? I love a few of them, I LOATHE many, and I guess I couldn't care less about the rest of them.
Today I received an email to telling me I could pay $99 to attend a month-long class that would teach me how to "break into TV" and become a TV host. HA! No amount of training would make me a good TV host. Do you think you could do it?

You would be a FANTASTIC host! At least as hilarious as Joan Rivers, I'm sure.
I love Conan and Seth Meyer (sp?).
I do not like most talk shows. Ellen seems like someone I'd like to spend the day with.
I would like to host an improv show like Whose Line Is It Anyways, but not a talk show. Although, I'd be a good talk show host. I'd ask the questions no one asks, like, "Blumpkins: good or bad thing?" hahahahaha
They make it look easy (well most of them). I think I'd be good because I'm hilarious but then I think of all the situations I've been in where no one is talking and I try to think of something to say and either I can't or I say the stupidest thing ever. Or look at Kathy Lee asking that comedian about his wife who was dead. No no no no no. I'd need to be trained a lot longer than one month!
Oh and Joan Rivers on Fashion Police is HILARIOUS! Some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth!!!!! LOL
I would sooo watch your show! Honestly? I've always had a soft spot for Letterman. I know. I know...
Well now that's a funny money scheme--Become a TV host! Only $99! ha. Yeah f'in right.
My faves are Stewart & Colbert. And Chris Harrison, because he somehow manages to say "So-and-so, this is the final rose. Take your time." every week without cracking up.
What about Montel?? And Maury!?? LMAO. JK JK. And yes, I do think you should do that class. Indeed. ;) I'd watch it.
Much Love,
Trissta
My favorite is Joan Rivers, probably because she is "forbidden fruit" I was not allowed to watch when she guest hosted on Johnny Carson when I was younger as my Mom deemed her too racy which is true; you never know what is going to come out of her mouth, but even when it is crude, it is witty.
Although a class might help people who already have the gift of gab the technical ability to do better in auditions, I think it is one of those things that to be a lasting host, you either have "it" or you don't and I know I am in the latter category.
While growing up i loved Johnny Carson.
Then I really liked Katie COuric and Matt Lauer.
Now, I don't have a favorite.
I love Howard Stern. He will always be my favorite. Years ago, before he went to Sirius Radio, I called him up, and he was the nicest person I have ever had the privilege of speaking to. Just the absolute best.
I love Howard Stern and David Letterman. I used to like Kelly Ripa until she got all pretentious and full of herself, but I always loved Regis.
I love Conan, Stewart and Colbert although I don't watch them enough. Just watched a doc about Joan Rivers and she was actually very lovable.
BAHAHAHHAAHAHAH.... do it.
hah Sally retweeted me last week- I used to watch her allll the time so I was so excited.
I obviously love Oprah, I think Barbara Walters is awful (she talks about herself ALL the time) and Conan ALWAYS cracks me up- as does Ellen.
Matt Lauer is so beyond hot that I will always be a fan of his.
And I'd like to think i could be a TV Host but I would be awkward.
Also- I used to love Rosie O'Donnell's show. I don't care what she is like now- I thought she was great during that period! But I can't tell people that without people giving me a "wtf" face. I stand by it!
