One Foot on the Brake and One on the Gas...

The other day I was talking with a long-time client, and he told me that my boss was the accelerator (always a GO-GO-GO, panicky high-energy, Type A sort of guy), and that I was the brakes.  It made me laugh.  When I first started this job, it felt like a starter pistol was fired each morning and we employees were expected to race around the track at high speed the entire day.  UGH!  I prefer to procrastinate try and slow things down, make sense of things, and see things through thoughtfully and carefully.  I don't really think being the "brakes" is a negative, per se, but I suppose you need both an accelerator and brakes if you really want to get anything done.

Wondering if YOU would be considered the accelerator or the brakes????

P.S. Sorry for referencing a Sammy Hagar song in the blog post title -- I couldn't help it!  ;)

BAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHA oh man IS HE THE ACCELERATOR!!! This made me LOL... I just imagined his face when you pumped the brakes on one of his crazy morning schemes, lol. I guess sometimes I'm both.

It might depend on my mood. But I do think I'm slow to start. I need my space and my time to mull things over.

I worked for someone like that once, and he drove me crazy. I'm much more of the brakes - let's think this through and make a plan - kind of person.

I think you guys probably balance each other well.
I can be both, it depends on how really interested I am.
I'll do crazy things --
