It's the thought that counts

Did you have a nice Mother's Day?  Mine was fine, other than being asked about half a dozen times if I was a mother.  I think there really should be a more elegant way of asking (and/or answering) that question, but perhaps not.  Whatever.  It doesn't matter.  Mother's Day is a good thing, and it's a great idea to honor mothers whenever possible.  So it's all good.

My niece decided to make her mom breakfast for Mother's Day.  She served up juice, tea, and what she thought was cinnamon toast.  Unfortunately she mistakenly used cayenne pepper instead of cinnamon.  Gulp!   One bite of that toast was enough.

More thoughts on mothers below, courtesy of John Oliver. John Oliver really is one of the best things in LIFE at the moment. I wish he would take over The Daily Show after Jon Stewart leaves.

Hysterical! I am with you on the Mother's Day thing... gets awkward after the 10th time.

Sometimes, we all need a slice of spicy toast to make our day a little more interesting!
I'm with you on Mother's Day and I actually am a mom now. I just wanted a fun day with my little family and that is enough for me (well ok my husband cooked too but I take any opportunity not to cook or do the dishes!)!
