Cindy Wright

Cindy Wright's startlingly rich, dense and lifelike paintings and drawings show a dark fascination with the macabre. Her works portray surprisingly intimate and detailed views of death and decay, forcing the viewer to confront a beauty that they might normally shun.

about the artist...

Cindy Wright was born on November 29, 1972 in Herentals (Belgium).  She earned a Master in the Visual Arts (painting) from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in 1996 and a laureate at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts, Antwerp in 2006. She currently lives and works in Antwerp.
